Position Overview: The Dishwasher will support the Dining Services team by providing clean and sanitary cooking utensils and dishware for our residents, and according to The Cedars standards and expectations. Essential Job Functions:

• Make sure all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all equipment, dishes, and dish room.
• Maintain a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm with residents, staff, and guests.
• Wash dishes, follow all equipment and safe food handling practices.
• Keep the dish room clean, maintain the dishwasher as needed.
• Assist with daily scheduled cleaning duties.
• Receive and appropriate respond to oral and written communications and direction.
• Communicate problems and ideas to management. Bring solutions to your concerns.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic food service knowledge. Must be a minimum of 15 years of age.
• Spanish bi-lingual capabilities are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to hear and understand other staff members' requests.
• Must be able to read accurately and retain information that was read and apply it.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Able to withstand extreme temperatures, hot and cold.
• Able to work long hours, including some evenings, weekends, holidays, and as needed.
• Must be able to stand or sit for long periods (4 hours or more).
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
