Job Title

Registered Nurse – CVOR (Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and maintain patient safety throughout cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Assist during cardiopulmonary bypass procedures in a pediatric OR setting
• Facilitate and maintain appropriate surgical time-outs per facility protocol
• Operate and manage specialized cardiac trays and OR equipment used in cardiothoracic surgery
• Fulfill call requirements including 1–2 call days per week and two 48-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks, with a 30-minute response time
• Care for patients across a range of complex congenital heart conditions including Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, Tetralogy of Fallot, Double Outlet Right Ventricle, Dextrocardia, and other congenital cardiac and great vessel malformations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Valid Ohio RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) required at time of submission
• Full COVID-19 vaccination required; no medical or religious exemptions accepted
• Supervisor reference within the past 2 years required
• No previous license hits on background check; candidates must pass an onsite background check and fingerprinting on first day

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing in cardiothoracic (CT) surgical procedures
• Familiarity with cardiopulmonary bypass equipment and techniques
• Epic EMR charting experience
• ANCC or other relevant nursing certifications
