Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and experienced nurses for a NICU position starting on November 9. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including day and night shifts, as well as mandatory holiday availability.

Shift Details

• Night 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Day 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Variable day/night or straight night options available

Contract Duration

13 to 18 weeks, with guaranteed hours after the call-off policy is met.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to neonates and infants in a Level 4 NICU
• Assist in surgical procedures within the NICU
• Perform pre and post-operative care
• Manage complex medical equipment, including ventilators and central lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and care quality
• Float to PICU and Cardiothoracic ICU as necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of NICU Level 4 experience or strong Level 3 surgical experience
• Pending California nursing license accepted if ETA is provided
• Must be willing to float to other units as needed
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP; PALS preferred

Work Schedule Requirements

Candidates must be available to work 2 of the following holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. No holiday-related time off requests will be permitted. Weekend availability is mandatory with full flexibility to be scheduled when needed.

Experience Requirements

• Experience with various NICU procedures, including but not limited to:



• Oscillator and conventional ventilators
• CPAP and nasal cannula administration
• Management of PICC lines, Broviacs, and various access methods
• Comfortable with line changes involving multiple drips
• Familiarity with tracheostomies, ostomies, and G-Tubes

Additional Information

Candidates must have their own transportation as mileage will be reimbursed from home base NICU locations to any satellite locations. All candidates are expected to be flexible with scheduling regarding 12-hour shifts and rotations within the contract period.
