Product Demonstrator Part Time

The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations. They acquire and maintain knowledge of the products represented. They prepare, serve, and break down product, equipment, and supplies. They intercept consumers and demonstrate products in a professional manner, maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business or client needs. This job description does not imply that the above functions are the only tasks that may be performed. Individuals will be expected to follow any other job‑related instructions and perform other tasks as directed by management. Responsibilities Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product. Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Properly set up and prepare Event Table for execution. Achieve 100% execution on assigned work. Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections. Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Complete expense reports as per Company Policy. Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as Event execution. Access the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local Food handlers permit may be required. Physical Demands The associate will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with arms up to 65 inches overhead, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb or step up ladders, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden, prepare foods and beverages using appliances, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Work Environment Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance Professional appearance and proper grooming are required. The associate must present a neat, clean, and appropriately groomed appearance. Specific Retailer Dress code requirements are in training documents. Language Skills English is the primary language skill; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
