About the Job: Pacsun is seeking a Senior Manager, Search Technology & Analytics with expertise in SEO, AI discovery, product feeds, ad operations and marketing analytics. This role will lead search engine optimization (SEO), answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO) initiatives, manage product feeds and paid media technology, and support marketing reporting and analysis. This is a hands on role for someone who can diagnose technical issues, uncover growth opportunities and turn complex data into clear action. This person will also lead the evaluation and adoption of AI tools that improve marketing execution, analysis and efficiency. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Digital Growth Marketing, this role will partner with Paid Media, Analytics, Engineering, Site Merchandising and Creative to deliver improvements and measure their business impact. A day in the life, what you’ll be doing: SEO & AI Discovery Lead SEO, AEO and GEO initiatives to improve Pacsun’s visibility across organic search, AI generated answers and emerging shopping experiences. Identify opportunities across crawlability, indexation, site architecture, structured data, internal linking and product and category content. Translate recommendations into clear requirements for Engineering, Site Merchandising and Content teams, coordinating implementation and validating results. Track search visibility, competitive presence, qualified traffic and conversion. Develop practical measures for AI discovery that account for evolving attribution capabilities. Monitor changes in search behavior and platform capabilities, testing relevant opportunities and translating findings into recommendations. Own product feed quality, completeness and optimization across advertising, shopping, social commerce and discovery platforms. Manage feed tools and partners to ensure accurate, timely product attributes, imagery, pricing, promotions and availability. Resolve missing products, disapprovals and data discrepancies, partnering with source system owners to address root causes. Optimize titles, categorization, custom labels and product groupings to improve discoverability and support campaign strategy. Partner with Paid Media and Site Merchandising to align feed rules with assortment, inventory and promotional priorities, supported by automated monitoring and alerts. Paid Media Technology & Ad Operations Manage the marketing tools, configurations and integration requirements supporting paid media execution, audience activation and measurement. Define and validate tracking across pixels, tags, conversion events and campaign parameters, ensuring consistent implementation and reliable data. Partner with Engineering and Analytics to implement conversion and audience connections, including server side tracking and platform integrations. Lead technical readiness and quality assurance for new campaigns, channels and platform changes. Troubleshoot issues affecting delivery, optimization or reporting. Maintain implementation documentation and coordinate with relevant stakeholders on consent and data governance requirements. AI Applications for Paid Media Lead the evaluation and adoption of AI tools for campaign analysis, creative testing, feed enrichment, reporting and workflow automation. Partner with Paid Media and Creative to run focused pilots with clear use cases, quality standards and success measures. Assess accuracy, time savings and performance impact, expanding successful applications into repeatable workflows with appropriate review and training. Reporting, Analytics & Measurement Support recurring paid media reporting and deeper analysis, helping explain performance drivers and identify actionable opportunities. Analyze results across channels, audiences, creative and products to inform acquisition, conversion and marketing efficiency recommendations. Partner with Analytics to develop dashboards and automate reporting, using consistent metric definitions and validated data. Investigate discrepancies between advertising platforms, analytics tools and business reporting, clearly communicating findings and limitations. Support attribution, incrementality and measurement across web, app and stores through technical implementation, data validation and analysis. Help translate findings into clear recommendations for channel owners and leadership, connecting marketing performance to customer acquisition, sales and profitability. Cross Functional Execution & Partner Management Partner with team leadership to prioritize initiatives based on business impact, implementation effort and ongoing operational needs. Manage relevant vendors and agency partners against clear deliverables, timelines and performance expectations. Coordinate dependencies across teams, communicate issues early and drive initiatives through completion. What it takes to Join: 6+ years of relevant experience across SEO, marketing technology, ad operations or digital analytics, with substantial hands on technical responsibility. Strong technical SEO expertise and a practical understanding of AEO/GEO, including how to develop and evaluate emerging discovery strategies. Experience managing product feeds, catalog integrations and data quality across marketing platforms. Strong knowledge of tagging, conversion tracking, audience activation and technical troubleshooting in paid media environments. Proficiency with tools such as GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center and Feedonomics or comparable platforms. Strong analytical skills and experience translating marketing performance data into actionable insights. Experience applying AI or automation to marketing workflows and assessing the quality and impact of the results. Understanding of attribution, incrementality and the limitations of platform reported performance. Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and coordinate implementation with technical and business partners. Strong prioritization, communication and problem solving skills, with a high degree of ownership and attention to detail. Experience with Measured for marketing measurement and incrementality, and Funnel for marketing data integration and reporting. Ecommerce, retail or DTC experience with large product catalogs. Experience with customer data platforms, app measurement, offline conversion integrations or social commerce.
