Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Portland, OR
Department: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients.
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Adhere to facility policies, patient safety standards, and evidence-based nursing practices.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• Current AHA BLS Certification required.
• Recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care setting.

• Experience caring for diverse adult patient populations.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
