Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Burn Trauma ICU position requiring TX or compact RN licensure and prior Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience.

Job Details

• 30-bed Burn Trauma ICU unit within a hospital setting,
• 2:1 patient ratio in ICU and 4:1 in PCU,
• Uses critical care equipment along with Burn ICU and Trauma ICU specific technology,
• Performs procedures including wound care, codes, EVDs, and MTP,
• Charts using Meditech EMR,
• 13-week assignment on a 7A-7P schedule,
• Requires working 2 weekends per pay period,
• Floating required to MSICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU, or any PCU unit,

Job Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required,
• BLS certification required,
• 1 year of recent ICU experience required,
• Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU experience required,
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required,
• BSN and CCRN preferred,
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,

• Provide direct critical care to burn and trauma ICU patients including wound care and emergency interventions,
• Team-based unit culture that values collaboration, asking questions, and supporting coworkers,
• Royal blue scrub color required,
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
