School Counselor - High School

Fayette County Public Schools

The responsibilities of a school counselor are: to provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for managing the placement of assigned students; provide information and recommendations to parents and students; and assist in the development of goals and plans for achievement.

The ideal candidate will possess an active TN teaching/school services license with an endorsement in Counseling. Previous job experience teaching is preferred, but not mandatory. Other qualifications include demonstrated organizational skills, and effective decision-making, verbal, and written communication skills.

Attendance is an Essential Function of this job.
