Hiring for 2026/2027 School YearLocation(s): Highland Park, ILPay: Starting at $18/hourHours: 6:00-8:30am and 2:45-6:00pmWe're hiring for our Before & After School Programs!You can get paid for HAVE FUN with kiddos!!!Looking for a part-time role that fits around the school day?AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day.For those who have experience working with students, the Group Leader role offers the opportunity to shape meaningful before and after school moments that help kids learn, grow, and thrive.We're looking for an early learning professional who:Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environmentTakes child safety seriously and follows procedures closelyIs flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever neededIn this role, you will:Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)Make child safety the top priority at all timesKeep the space clean and organizedHelp create an environment where kids feel supported and includedBuild strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staffThis role is ideal for educators with experience in:Teaching or classroom leadershipYouth programsStaff supervision or team leadershipRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent requiredCPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)Why Join Us?At AlphaBEST, we believe in boosting your potential. Here's what you'll need:Must have a high school diploma or GED,Must be at least 19 years oldAbility to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needsMust be registered and have full clearance from the state childcare licensing agencyProof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations (see below)Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA in a related field) or Associate's Degree (AS/AA in a related field)A 1-year state or nationally recognized credential (related to school-age care)Completion of 20 credits (semester system) or 30 credits (quarter system) of training at a college/university AND at least 1 year of qualifying teaching experience in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)2 or more years of qualifying teaching experience (with at least one year as a teacher) in a Certified Child Care Center (or comparable group care program)Join us today!
