Position Overview Island View Casino Resort is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s payroll operations. This position is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of payroll while providing leadership to the payroll team and continuously improving payroll processes and systems. The Payroll Manager will oversee all aspects of payroll administration, including employee earnings, deductions, benefits, garnishments, taxes, reporting, compliance, audits, and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with Human Resources, Finance, and other business partners to ensure payroll operations support organizational needs and maintain the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all payroll processing activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of employees. Supervise, develop, and provide direction to payroll staff. Maintain, review, and optimize payroll processing systems and procedures. Ensure accurate processing of salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, deductions, and other payroll transactions. Audit payroll earnings, deductions, taxes and related transactions for accuracy. Prepare and oversee payroll-related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings. Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis, and documentation to Finance, Human Resources, and other authorized stakeholders. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state payroll laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Oversee payroll tax and benefits compliance and reporting. Coordinate and support internal and external payroll audits. Maintain compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls. Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, increase efficiency, and optimize system capabilities. Partner with HR, Finance, and other departments to resolve payroll issues and support business needs. Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll and employee information. Stay current on changes to payroll laws, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Minimum of 5–6 years of experience in Payroll, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field. Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of payroll processing, taxation, deductions, benefits, and regulatory compliance. Experience with payroll systems, reporting tools, and process optimization. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a payroll team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Experience supporting audits and internal controls, including SOX compliance, preferred. Why Join Island View?
