This position moves between the café barista counter and bar service depending on business needs. You’ll prepare coffee and café beverages, assist with bar preparation, and support afternoon or evening bar service while maintaining the same welcoming experience our guests expect from The Mill. As a Mill Barista / Bar team member you will: Help each customer with their different needs - coffee, tea, beverages, retail items, or bar offerings - and make them feel appreciated in your interactions. Prepare espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and café menu items following Mill standards. Assist with bar service during afternoon or evening hours Complete daily bar prep including stocking, garnishes, batching, and maintaining bar readiness for evening service. Ensure all products are served with the highest quality and consistent standards. Be reliable. Show up to work on time and ready to go! Communicate availability needs and follow proper call-out procedures. Maintain clean and organized workspaces across both café and bar areas. Work collaboratively with baristas, bartenders, kitchen staff, and leadership to create smooth service throughout the day. Stand, walk, or remain active during working hours, which can be up to 9 hours in a shift. Work at least three shifts each week. What we do for you: Great pay in a fun, healthy environment. Other Important Info: Typical work hours are between 5am - 11pm, with shifts being 6–9 hours in length. It's important that you adhere to all company policies and procedures as laid out in The Mill Employee Handbook. Be on time. Ensure you have reliable transportation and can be on time for scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings. Food Handler Permit or Certification. As a prerequisite to employment, you'll need to obtain and maintain this as required by local regulations. Complete, pass, and maintain trainings. We will set you up for success. Trainings, certifications, and knowledge tests will ensure you can meet The Mill’s standards and policies (and our awesome customer’s expectations). Federal, state, and local regulations will be included. Written, oral, and verbal English proficiency is required. Other language fluency is highly valued.
