Medical Support Assistant
US Department of War
Unit Receptionist DutiesGreet patients, provide instructions to patients on test preparation, and procedural requirements; arrange appointments; and gather preliminary information for medical records.Conduct records management procedures to assemble patients' charts, record providers' orders, enter and retrieve x-rays, laboratory reports and patient data.Use automated and/or manual records system to extract medical information, generate follow-up and/or aftercare instructions, inpatient admissions and discharge and/or transfer information.Prepare reports based on the requirements specified by supervisor or standard procedures, and the intended use of the data or report to respond to data calls.
