This role involves hands-on hardware work, RF cabling, system troubleshooting, and IT infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Equipment Support & MaintenanceInstall, configure, and maintain internally built test systems and platformsSupport system upgrades, modifications, and hardware integrationsHardware & RF WorkExecute RF cabling, connector installation, and signal path verificationPerform hardware installations including installing system components in racks and hardware upgrades.Troubleshoot RF and hardware-related issues to ensure optimal system performanceTroubleshooting & DiagnosticsDiagnose system issues using Linux command line toolsSupport issue resolution across hardware, software, and network layersIT Infrastructure SupportAssist with maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, network switches, and lab IT systemsBeing able to determine if hardware is faulty and setting up replacement hardwareSupport system connectivity, configuration, and network stabilityCollaborate with IT teams for escalations and system improvementsInventory & Asset ManagementTrack, manage, and maintain internal and external (commercial) test equipment inventorySupport equipment audits, lifecycle management, and asset documentationCoordinate movement and allocation of lab assets as neededCalibration & Site SupportAssist during calibration events and site-wide maintenance activitiesCoordinate with calibration teams to ensure equipment readinessDocumentation & CommunicationMaintain accurate records of work performed, issues, and resolutions through ServiceNow workorders and tickets.Provide clear updates to stakeholders on system status and progressContribute to process improvements and standard operating proceduresContribute to technical papers by adding to or creating Confluence pages.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience.ORAssociate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master’s = one year) of work experience.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's, Electronic Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent military training3–5 years of relevant experience in test engineering, lab support, or technical operationsWorking knowledge of:RF systems, cables, and connectorsLinux command line troubleshootingHardware installation and system integrationBasic networking concepts (servers, switches, IP configuration)Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
