Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships, and Individuals.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services for closely held businesses and business owners.
• Supervise tax compliance engagements from planning through completion.
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide coaching and technical guidance.
• Research and interpret current federal tax laws and regulations.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
• Collaborate with partners and other professionals to develop practical tax strategies.

Must-Have Skills:

• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Extensive experience preparing and reviewing business and individual tax returns.
• In-depth knowledge of current federal tax laws affecting privately held businesses and owners.
• Proven ability to supervise engagements and review the work of junior staff.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• CPA license preferred (or equivalent extensive experience).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with trust and estate taxation, including estate and gift tax matters.
• Familiarity with tax issues for not-for-profit organizations.
• Demonstrated expertise in tax planning and consulting for complex structures.
