Cath Lab RN

Responsibilities Assess patient conditions and formulate nursing diagnoses, establish goals, plan and implement interventions, and evaluate patient care outcomes. Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, including patient and family teaching, and the transition of care plan to ensure safe and appropriate level of care discharge. Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies to reduce anxiety, and observe and report significant changes to the Charge Nurse/Team Leader or physician. Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols, including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications. Reassess patients at appropriate intervals, notify physician as needed, and adjust nursing care to meet emerging and changing needs. Give and receive bedside shift reports, provide accurate and comprehensive reporting, and delegate tasks as needed to maintain continuity of care. Participate in maintaining quality, cost effectiveness, and guest relations. Qualifications Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma. At least 1 year of RN experience. Registered Nurse certification in Texas (RN:TX). Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA. Preferred: previous cath lab, interventional radiology, or ICU experience. Location St. Luke's Health – The Vintage Hospital, located in Northwest Houston, serves residents of Willowbrook, Champions, and Tomball.
