Water Treatment OperatorHigh school diploma or GED Valid Water Treatment Operator certification Previous experience in water or wastewater treatment (experience with chemical systems, pressure filters, ground water, or reverse osmosis experience strongly preferred) Flexible for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call work Valid driver's license Extremely punctual, safety orientated, detailed in documentation, and team oriented Familiarity with water quality standards and compliance requirements Ability to read SCADA systems, flow diagrams, and technical manuals Basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skillsA temporary water treatment facility in the Monroe/Rayville, Louisiana area is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to manage the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of systems utilizing pressure filtration and reverse osmosis (RO) processes. This role ensures treated water meets all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements while maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This is a full-time position that will require shift work and participation in an on-call rotation (7 days on, 7 days off, night shift). Shifts will be 12-hours, and consultants will be paid 1.5x overtime for hours above 80 hours/2 weeks, and on holidays worked. The pay range for this position is between $33.00 - $40.00/hour, and will be determined based on technical qualifications and years of experience. This role will be contract based, and the temporary construction project that this person will be supporting to treat flush and fill water will likely be decommissioned after 12 months. Extension and conversion of the contract are possible, but this will likely be a 12-month total duration.
