Warehouse Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift

This position is responsible for planning the daily shipping and receiving activities of the unit to achieve department and organizational metrics. Responsibilities Determine job assignments and coordinate all aspects of receiving, selection, put‑away, safety, inventory control and sanitation. Ensure productivity goals and department metrics are met efficiently. Interview, train, develop and maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet daily operational goals. Identify high‑potential team members and help create a succession bench for leadership. Foster positive working relationships with team members and, where applicable, union representatives to promote satisfaction and retention. Promote a workplace that values, encourages and supports differences. Ensure adherence to Meijer policies, procedures and practices. Establish and maintain DC Scorecard metrics for productivity and efficiency for the defined area of responsibility. Utilize data‑based analysis to identify opportunities for improved operating performance. Train, coach and lead work teams to achieve performance, quality, cost and service goals. Ensure team members safely operate material‑handling equipment. Manage team member concerns and lead all investigations, providing recommendations on discipline as needed. Monitor and track performance metrics for direct reports and deliver coaching, retraining and disciplinary action as necessary. Continuously evaluate warehouse processes and provide recommendations for improvements. Perform administrative duties related to production, shipping and quality performance. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred. 3+ years of leadership and/or warehouse management experience. Proven analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in conflict resolution and performance management.
