AS OVERVIEWOperations partners with all areas of the firm to deliver banking, sales and trading, and asset management capabilities globally, while providing essential risk management and control. Asset Servicing is responsible for the end‑to‑end management of Voluntary Income and Corporate Action events across global equity and fixed income markets. The team supports internal and external clients through complex, time‑critical events such as mergers, restructurings, and shareholder meetings, operating within a high‑risk control environment.ROLE OVERVIEWThis role is responsible for the day‑to‑day processing and risk management of voluntary corporate action instructions across US and Canadian markets. The successful candidate will execute and control client and firm elections, ensure accurate and timely instruction into local markets, and manage risk through disciplined adherence to controls, escalation, and issue resolution. The role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment under tight market deadlines, and close collaboration with global partners and client service teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProcess voluntary corporate action elections across equity and fixed income products, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with market deadlinesCreate and validate announcement information and instruct client and firm elections into DTC/CDS/EuroclearReconcile and distribute entitlements, investigating and resolving exceptions as requiredActively manage operational risk by identifying issues, escalating appropriately, and applying strong controlsPartner with client service, technology, legal, and global operations teams to resolve complex event‑related issuesSupport process improvements and control enhancements to reduce risk, increase scalability, and improve client outcomesSKILLS & EXPERIENCE4+ years of Asset Servicing experience, with strong exposure to voluntary corporate actionsDeep understanding of corporate action lifecycles, market practices, and election processingProven ability to operate effectively in a high‑risk, time‑critical environmentStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and sound risk judgmentClear and effective communicator, able to engage confidently with stakeholders across the organizationAbility to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently under pressurePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong understanding of global equity and fixed income marketsStrong understanding and ability to navigate DTC/CDS/Euroclear portals to review event details and instruct on positionsUnderstanding of inventory management and settlement activity in DTC and CDSProactive, control‑focused mindset with a track record of identifying and mitigating operational riskCollaborative team player who contributes to a culture of accountability and continuous improvementABOUT GOLDMAN SACHSAt Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
