Licensed Practical Nurse (Float)- Occupational Health

Job Description Summary This float position covers clinics in Westerville, Grandview, Grove City, and Reynoldsburg. The LPN provides occupational health services and nursing care to patients and employer customers, including Worker’s Compensation and employment‑related examinations. The LPN is accountable for nursing practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing, delegates nursing tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) according to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and serves as a resource for other associates. The position does not involve hiring, firing, or supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities and Duties 25% Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments. Collects and documents subjective and objective data from patients, significant others, and communities; reviews data from the health care team; communicates findings via referrals, rounds, huddles, reports, and care conferences; and uses assessment data to identify nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems. 25% Based on diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions and coordinates care plans, promoting cost‑effective care and quality improvement. Documents interventions to assist patients and communities in achieving expected outcomes. 20% Evaluates and documents responses to nursing interventions, revises plans of care based on evaluative data, and participates in multidisciplinary team reviews. 20% Delegates tasks in accordance with state statutes, reviews work performed by those delegated, coordinates continuity of care, and participates in development of peers, including MAs and nursing students. 10% Actively participates in process improvement activities, patient advocacy, committees, research, self‑development programs, and staff meetings. Manages resources, including personnel, supplies, and equipment, to maintain a safe and efficient environment. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED (Required) BLS – Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse (National Council of State Boards of Nursing) Current Ohio state license Successfully completed Ohio Board of Nursing approved medication course Work Shift & Hours Day shift, 40 scheduled weekly hours.
