Per Diem Retail Staff Pharmacist in Gilbert, AZ

Join a growing per diem pharmacy team supporting multiple retail locations in the greater Phoenix, AZ area. This opportunity involves working with a well-established food and pharmacy retailer operating 38 pharmacies. The focus is on building a reliable group of 2-3 pharmacists to provide coverage during high-demand periods including graduations, summer vacations, and holidays.


Location: Greater Phoenix area, Arizona (commutable or travel arrangements available)


Schedule/Hours:

• Per diem with flexible shifts Monday through Saturday, typically 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., some locations until 8 p.m.
• Coverage needed for call-outs, vacations, or volume spikes
• Ideal candidates available 2-4 days per week

Responsibilities:

• Provide retail pharmacy services in a fast-paced environment with average prescription volumes of 100-125 per day
• Collaborate with technician teams; some smaller pharmacies may operate with pharmacist-only staffing, requiring strong independent skills
• Complete one initial 8-hour training shift (more available if needed) to prepare for site-specific operations using QS1 systems
• Maintain immunization privileges and current BLS certification for patient safety and compliance

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience, with preference for 5+ years to maximize compensation
• Immunization privilege and BLS card required
• Experience with QS1 system is a plus
• Flexible, reliable, and ready to step in as needed for coverage
