What You’ll Do Perform technical layouts of components and assemblies utilizing existing CMM programs, fixtures and set-ups Perform minor manual set-up checks using CMM equipment Conduct technical layouts using height gauges, micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, and other standard precision measuring instruments in a laboratory environment. Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings with appropriate technical support. Operate laboratory inspection equipment under supervision. Use applicable systems to access drawings, inspection requirements, requester information, and upload measurement reports. Execute existing CMM programs and make minor changes to existing programs under supervision. Perform calibration of inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and similar equipment. Maintain the gauge tracking program, generate the monthly list of gauges due for calibration, follow up on calibration status, and maintain calibration records. Maintain 5S standards for equipment and workstations. Follow assigned priorities and complete tasks accordingly. Comply with all applicable safety rules and procedures. Load measurement data and related information into FPI final reports. Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs. Who You Are Minimum of 1-year experience in related metrology, quality, inspection or manufacturing role. High School Diploma/GED required. Technical degree, certificate, or vocational training in metrology, quality, manufacturing, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Familiarity with basic laboratory measurement and testing equipment Able to read and comprehend schematics, diagrams, drawings layouts, manuals, and procedures. Ability to work effectively in a Team environment Must be flexible to rotate shifts as required when different scenarios arise. Ability to work independently in assigned tasks while following direction and supervision as needed Flexible, adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Must be able to work overtime during the weekdays and weekends as needed.
