Senior Director, Product Management - SimCorp ONE

Overview SimCorp ONE is evolving from a product suite into a unified investment management platform – and the work of making that real is happening now. We are building SC1 View as the shared visibility layer for CIOs, Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, and Performance teams. We are building the Action Center to shift work detection from individuals to the platform and Neo, our AI assistant that is the single point of entry for natural language interaction across the investment management value chain. These are not isolated product bets – they are the structural components of one platform. The Group Product Manager for SimCorp ONE is the person who holds platform vision, builds coherence across these foundational capabilities, and ensures that our product decisions compound toward one trustworthy, high‑performance platform for the investment management industry. Responsibilities Drive the SimCorp ONE product roadmap. Own and evolve the multi-year strategy for our foundational platform capabilities – SC1 View, Action Center, and the design system – ensuring they compound toward a unified, coherent platform experience rather than four isolated products. Define how these capabilities interlock: how View consumes governed APIs, how the Action Center routes work based on explicit responsibility profiles, and how SimCorp ONE makes every capability discoverable from a single, persona-aware starting point. Shape the Action Center as the platform’s operational intelligence layer: Own the product strategy, guide the evolution from targeted 1.0 signaling (corporate actions, option exercises, front-office flows) toward cross-domain orchestration and AI-driven prioritisation, ensure the principle of intentional silence is upheld, and integrate existing alert infrastructure in SCD Web and Order Manager without creating competing notification surfaces. Lead SC1 View as the platform’s shared visibility layer: Own the product strategy, drive key architectural decisions – widget data model, integration with SCD Web for drill-in workflows, the shared scope selection model using mandates and entities, and the thin orchestration layer that normalises data from vertical backends. Ensure View becomes the gold standard for the unified container and distributed development model. Drive cross-domain alignment and resolve platform-level trade-offs: Facilitate structured prioritisation across product lines, resolve how domain APIs are classified into Foundational, Global, and Domain tiers, align vertical teams on shared scope selection in View, and ensure the Action Center integrates domain events without creating brittle dependencies. Represent the platform’s interests where domain convenience conflicts with platform coherence and communicate those trade-offs clearly to senior leadership. Represent the platform to clients, partners, and senior leadership: Articulate the SimCorp ONE platform vision to C-level investment management clients, industry forums, client advisory boards, and commercial engagements; translate the technical architecture and the underpinning agentic workflows. Mentor and develop AI-powered Product Managers, raising the bar on product craft across the organization. Qualifications Strategic Thinking & Execution – Extensive experience defining and delivering AI product strategy in a complex, cross‑functional global environment; skilled in translating long-term vision into executable plans and measurable outcomes; exceptional communication of value proposition to stakeholders, clients, and sales forums. Product Management Expertise – Visionary product leader with 10+ years’ experience driving innovation within Investment Management SaaS platforms; broad understanding of front‑to‑back investment management processes; experience collaborating with Product Development, Operations, Professional Services and Commercial functions; demonstrable ability in managing product ownership, roadmap strategies and priority setting; proficiency in outcome‑based planning using OKRs/KPIs and end-to-end product lifecycle management. Stakeholder Engagement – Highly effective in establishing and maintaining communication and relationships across various organizational tiers, including with executives and clients; skilled at navigating and influencing within large, matrixed organisations; experienced in leading strategic forums, product governance initiatives, and cross‑functional workshops. Cross-Domain Product Leadership – Demonstrated ability to unify multiple domain strategies into a cohesive platform roadmap; comfortable with strategic prioritisation and investment decisions across product lines and services; experienced in building and governing collaborative frameworks across product and solution teams; able to balance strategic thinking with tactical collaboration and decision-making. Hybrid by instinct – Think like a product manager about user value and business outcomes; also think like a designer about how the solution fits the user and like an engineer about what is buildable and how fast; the fusion is the primary identity. AI native – Internalise how to decompose problems for AI leverage, when to use which model or pattern, and how to validate AI output critically; have a portfolio of work that was meaningfully accelerated or built with AI. Builder mindset – Produce working artefacts, not memos; default response to a hard problem is to build a working version of the answer. Senior judgement – Know when 60% is enough to unblock a decision and when 95% is required; know which problems benefit from AI acceleration and which require deeper craft; know when to hand off and when to keep building. Benefits SimCorp operates in 30+ offices worldwide with a global hybrid policy – work from the office two days each week while allowing remote work on other days. Benefits package varies by country and may include health care, leave, and retirement plans. Salary range for New York City only: $221,000 – $331,000USD, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
