About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN Same Day Surgery Profession: RN Specialty: Pre Op Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Active RN License Certifications: Excellent IV skills Must-Have: Previous pre-op/phase II experience preferred Description: This is a travel RN position in Same Day Surgery. The shift will be Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM with no weekends required. Candidates must possess strong IV start skills. Previous experience in all surgical service lines is preferred, including Cath lab. The unit consists of 14+ beds and is staffed with 6-10 RNs/PCTs. Day shift typically has 4 RNs and 1 tech. Midshift consists of 2 RNs and 1 tech. Patient ratios are 1:3. The type of equipment used includes EMR Meditech. There are no on-call or floating requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactive and assertive leadership. Typical procedures performed on the unit include Board Runner and scheduling. Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. This is an excellent opportunity for travel RNs and those with local experience.
