Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Class 7 Inspection Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will work 40-50 hours per week and be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and vehicle systems to ensure optimal performance and safety standards. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of heavy equipment such cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on various mechanical systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and electrical systems.
• Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately.
• Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, parts used, and service performed in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely during testing or repair procedures.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery or vehicle components for repair or maintenance purposes.

Skills

• Proven experience or extensive background in heavy equipment operation and repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive diagnostics, vehicle systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, and diesel engine repair.
• Proficiency with schematics, electrical troubleshooting, welding techniques, and hydraulic systems repair.
• Experience working with industrial equipment including cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and heavy trucks.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections.
