Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney (2-5 yrs)

A respected international litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its Insurance Coverage practice in Walnut Creek, California. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation associate looking to deepen their experience in insurance coverage and complex civil litigation while working alongside experienced trial attorneys on sophisticated matters. The firm offers meaningful responsibility, strong mentorship, and the opportunity to develop courtroom and case management experience within a collaborative litigation team. Associates in this group work on a wide range of first-party and third-party coverage matters, as well as related liability defense and complex civil litigation. The role provides direct involvement in litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, and court appearances. Key Responsibilities Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and assist with litigation strategy Manage discovery, document production, and case preparation Take and defend depositions Participate in hearings and court appearances Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex insurance coverage matters Maintain strong client relationships and support ongoing case development Qualifications 2–5 years of civil litigation experience Insurance coverage or insurance defense litigation experience strongly preferred Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively Active license to practice law in California What the Firm Offers Work on both first-party and third-party insurance coverage matters Exposure to sophisticated coverage disputes and complex litigation Collaborative litigation team with strong mentorship Hybrid work schedule (3–4 days in office) Competitive compensation between $140,000 and $175,000 depending on experience Bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits package Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for confidential consideration. #J-18808-Ljbffr Permanent Placements LLC
