About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: CVOR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA or NCCT Must-Have: - Cardiac surgery case experience - Vascular surgery case experience - Experience with minimally invasive procedures Description: Position seeks a CVOR Tech with experience in cardiac and vascular surgeries. Shifts available are day and mid, requiring flexibility. Types of cardiac cases required include CABG, AVR, MVR, TVRR, aortic aneurysm repairs, and heart transplants. Vascular cases include endovascular and open procedures such as AAA repairs, endarterectomies, and bypass operations. Preferred cases include general, laparoscopic, thoracic, and transplant surgeries. Previous CVOR case experience must include a range of procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and endovascular repairs. Candidate should expect to support a total of six operating rooms, including hybrid and specialty rooms. On-call duties may include weekends and holidays as needed. National certification is required to ensure quality standards. Knowledge of various surgical instruments and techniques is essential. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced surgical environment and teamwork collaboration. Experience with electronic charting, specifically Excellian/Epic, is preferred. The role involves direct patient care and requires adherence to sterilization and disinfection protocols. The candidate should be able to handle diverse patient diagnoses and maintain patient safety at all times.
