Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC Local Rate: Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility. Client rates reduced by #/hour.

Trauma Level? STEMI Receiving? Stroke Center? Level 4 Trauma, We can do thrombolytic therapy here for both STEMI and Stroke. We transport out for interventions.

# Beds/Trauma Bays: 12 Bed ED (total 24 if include the Urgent Care).

Do you have a Fast Track? We have a 12 bed Urgent Care within the ED 7a-19:00.

Do you have a separate Triage area? If so, do you allow/require travelers to do Triage? Yes and Yes.

Do you have a separate holding area in the ER or are ER holds intermixed w/in the ER? If we need to boarder, all intermixed.

Do you have separate Psych/seclusion rooms? One room is identified as behavioral health.

Is Security in-house 24/7? Housed in the ER? 24 hours not available all 7 days a week - varies.

On average, how many patients do you treat in the ER/day? High season 90 - 100 Low season 40-50 a day.

Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1 to 4 or 5.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients: All the typical ED and Urgent Care complaints as seen across the nation.

Experience or 'Must have' skills: Trauma, Peds, Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, Procedural Sedation, Code Blue / Resuscitations.

Common drips? Vasopressors, Anti-arrhythmics.

ED Physician/Mid-Levels: Both.

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Charge Nurse takes assignments. House supervisor 24 / 7.

Nurse aids/EMT/Paramedics/Patient Sitters? Ratios? Duties? Variable days staffed. We can have a secretary / tech or a medic. Most can do phlebotomy, medics can start IVs and give some medications. Transport patients, help wound care, EKG, splinting, stock rooms, et al.

Is RT in the ER 24/7? Do they do ABG's, breathing Tx, & EKG's? RT is present but on occasion there may NOT be a respiratory therapist. Yes, when present, they do ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs (EKGs if we are super busy and they have the time).

RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? If on the rare occasion RT is not present, the nurse would have to set up a ventilator beyond just trouble shoot.

Do you have Monitor Techs in the ER? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the Tele monitors? No - RNs must read their own strips. GE- Carescape.

X-Ray or CT in the ER? Transport? Xray will transport, CT scan - either we take or they will transport - depends.

Does Phlebotomy draw labs or RN's draw? Majority of draws are performed by RNs.

Shifts & Scheduling: Manager assigns schedule.

Weekend Requirements: Day and mid shift - every third. Nights - every other.

Holiday Requirements: Yes - every other.

Is there call or a standby requirement? No.

Floating Requirements: On occasion to be helping hands to support another unit.

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue.

Unit/Department specific orientation: 1-2 days as is per standard for agency. If different, I must be notified. MUST note in submission if clinician has ever worked for Marshfield. If clinician previously worked with Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to their submission date.
