Description We are currently looking for aPart Time 38 Retail Sales Associateto join our Border Casino Operations Shift Team 3 team located at the Thirty 5 Boutique working. Summary Greet and assists patrons in the purchasing of items available for sale, accepting cash and change. Responsible for providing the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area Explains various aspects of programs, promotions, benefits, rewards and or requirements to internal and external customers, citizens, etc. Picks up and signs for cash bank to be used on assigned shift Maintains purchase log of sales conducted on assigned shift to be given to Gift Shop Manager for inventory purposes Audits and reconciles credit card receipts, cash received, and balance cash drawer on assigned shift, and complete cash report for all cash denomination and credit card receipts Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales Handles routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of supervisory personnel Assists and guides customers with purchase selection Engages potential customers and guides with selection and purchase decisions May order catolog items if not in stock Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received Provides accurate change for cash purchases Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts, cash balance May perform minor trouble shooting of POS Maintains accurate cash count and assume responsibility for any shortages at end of shift May be responsible to confirm POS pricing updates Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies Essential: Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines Able to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and management Skills Essential: Count lrg amts of cash by hand / with cash counting machines Operate point-of-sale terminal Experience Essential: No prior experience required Education Essential: High School, GED or Equivalent Credentials Essential: Pass gaming background check Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Working Conditions Essential: May work where cigarette smoking occurs Customer service Fast-paced environment Retail store Team-oriented Point-of-sale equipment Intent to sell, increase sales, excellent service Pass pre-employment drug test Sometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Frequently lift and or carry up to 25 lbs Standing up to 100% of shift May work day shift May work evening shift Must be flexible with work schedule May work holidays May work night shift May work rotating shifts May work weekend shift Training It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
