Litigation Associate – Environmental & Commercial Litigation
Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $145,000 - $180,000 (commensurate with experience)

Direct Counsel is representing a national law firm seeking a Litigation Associate to join its busy Los Angeles office . This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop their expertise in environmental toxic tort and commercial litigation while working closely with experienced partners. Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of complex civil litigation , including client communications, motions, discovery responses, court appearances, mediations, and settlement negotiations
• Take and defend depositions and draft dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic, analytical solutions to complex litigation matters
• Work both independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment
• Receive mentorship and training remotely from attorneys in other offices
• Interact directly with clients and contribute to achieving their legal objectives

Qualifications:

Skills & Abilities:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Detail-oriented with exceptional research and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for litigation

Education & Experience:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school
• Licensed to practice in California , active and in good standing
• 3+ years of experience in complex civil litigation (preferred experience in commercial, environmental, and construction litigation )
