Material Handler

Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handling & Warehouse Operations

• Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments for accuracy.
• Stage, organize, move, and store materials within designated warehouse locations.
• Prepare products and materials for shipment according to company procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas.
• Assist in identifying and reporting damaged, missing, or non-conforming materials.

Inventory Control

• Conduct routine inventory counts and cycle counts.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and record accuracy.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, and storage of materials.
• Support inventory audits and compliance activities.

Security & Compliance

• Conduct inventory and security checks as required.
• Follow all company, regulatory, and site-specific security requirements.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory documentation and tracking records.
• Report safety, security, or inventory concerns promptly.
• Ensure all material movements are properly documented.

Location Clerk Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records related to incoming and outgoing materials.
• Enter and verify inventory information in company systems.
• Process shipping and receiving documentation.
• File and maintain operational records and reports.
• Serve as a backup for administrative and recordkeeping functions within the location.
• Assist with data entry and document management as needed.

Load Crew Support

• Assist with loading operations and shipment preparation.
• Verify product quantities and shipping information before dispatch.
• Support transportation and logistics activities.
• Ensure compliance with company loading procedures and safety standards.
• Work closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, and operations teams to meet customer and operational requirements.

Equipment Operation

• Safely operate forklifts after training and certification requirements are met.
• Operate a semi-tractor for yard movements and operational needs.
• Conduct pre-use equipment inspections.
• Report equipment maintenance issues and unsafe conditions.
• Follow all operational procedures when using powered industrial equipment.

Training Provided

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred

• Previous warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory, or manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Experience operating industrial equipment or commercial vehicles.
• Inventory management or records administration experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to safely operate industrial equipment.
