Mechanical Engineer I

Prismatik Dentalcraft is a division of Glidewell Dental Essential Functions To assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of machinery and processes for automated manufacturing of mass customized dental devices using pre-established guidelines. Assists with the design of sub-systems and/or elements of automated machinery. Assists with the creation of drawings, documents, and bill of materials for fabrication and assembly. Assists with the research of new technologies, software, processes, materials, and suppliers. Assists with performing tests for development processes as needed. Collaborates with Electrical Engineers, Control Engineers, and build team. Verifies correct fit and function of assemblies. Assists build team with hands on prototyping as required. Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at direction of management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or minimum five (5) years of related experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree. Minimum one (1) year of experience in field. Demonstrated work experience applying polymer processing methods. Experience with SolidWorks and analysis tools Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance Advanced skills in the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook). Must possess effective oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel in a professional and effective manner.
