Description
- Conduct evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient contexts, crafting personalized treatment plans
- Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and functionality
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation team members to enhance patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families about therapeutic objectives, discharge plans, and home exercises
- Maintain records of evaluations, treatments, and advancements per facility and regulatory requirements
- Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary meetings to ensure cohesive care delivery
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
Certifications
- Required state licensure as a Physical Therapist
- Comfort with CPR certification is favorable
- Specialty certifications (like neurological or geriatric) are advantageous, but not necessary
Skills
- Previous experience is highly preferred
