The CVICU/CCU RN is responsible for providing high-level critical care nursing to cardiovascular and intensive care patients across the lifespan. This role demands excellent clinical judgment, advanced technical skills, and compassionate care delivery in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with cardiologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to support advanced patient interventions and recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, including day 0 post-op CVICU patients
• Monitor, assess, and respond to complex changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with the care team in the implementation of individualized treatment plans
• Administer medications and manage advanced life-support equipment
• Accurately document care and communicate with family members
• Support educational and clinical growth through training, mentorship, and skill advancement

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited or state board-approved nursing program
• Current RN license in good standing (Colorado or compact state)
• Minimum 3 years of CVICU RN experience
• Strong day 0 CVICU post-op patient care experience
• Certifications (must be current and AHA-recognized) :
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
