We design and manufacture premium golf simulator buildings that are shipped and installed nationwide. Every project requires thousands of components—from structural steel and lumber to premium electronics and custom finishes. We’re looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to own our procurement process, build strong supplier relationships, and ensure our production team has everything they need, exactly when they need it. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on organization, negotiation, planning, and continuous improvement. What You’ll Do As the Purchasing Manager, you’ll oversee all purchasing activities for our production facility, ensuring materials arrive on time, within budget, and meet our quality standards. Primary Responsibilities Manage all purchasing for production, installation, and company operations Source and negotiate pricing with vendors and suppliers Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Issue purchase orders and track order status Monitor inventory levels and proactively replenish materials Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering, Inventory, and Operations teams Reduce material costs while maintaining product quality Identify alternate suppliers and reduce supply chain risk Track vendor performance, lead times, and pricing trends Forecast purchasing needs based on production schedules Ensure critical materials are available to prevent production delays Review and improve purchasing systems and processes Assist in developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and standard purchasing procedures What We’re Looking For 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience Strong negotiation and communication skills Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously Experience with purchasing software, ERP systems, or inventory management platforms Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent spreadsheet and reporting skills Self‑motivated with a proactive mindset Able to work collaboratively across departments Preferred Qualifications Experience in manufacturing or construction purchasing Knowledge of steel, lumber, building materials, and electrical components Experience purchasing electronics or AV equipment Familiarity with production scheduling and forecasting Experience developing vendor scorecards and purchasing KPIs Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or equivalent experience What Success Looks Like Production never waits on materials Inventory levels remain optimized without excessive overstock Vendors consistently deliver on time and at competitive pricing Purchasing costs are continually reduced through negotiation and process improvements Supplier relationships are strong and dependable Production teams have confidence that every project has the materials needed before fabrication begins Why Golfsheds?
