The Department of Family and Community Services, Office of Children's Services (OCS) is recruiting for full-time Office Assistant 2 located in Juneau, Alaska. What you will be doing As an Office Assistant 2, you will provide a full-range of clerical and receptionist services, playing a vital role in the workflow of the office, which greatly contributes to our mission of strengthening Alaska's families and children. You will perform a range of duties, including complex data entry, creating and maintaining files and records, and back up support for other assigned administrative duties. Working environment you can expect The Office of Children's Services Juneau field office is located in the heart of the Mendenhall Valley, conveniently located near shops, restaurants and the bus line. We serve the City of Juneau and outlying communities near Juneau to include Haines, Skagway, Angoon, Hoonah, and Yakutat. We are seeking a candidate with the following competencies: Customer Service: Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside State government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Computer Skills: Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work. Special Note All positions require valid ID and successful completion of a background investigation, including fingerprinting and a criminal records check. The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage. A cover letter is NOT required for this position.
