Human Resources Expert – Target Starting hourly rate: $18.75USD per hour. Pay range: $18.75USD – $28.15USD per hour. Human Resources Experts help build a passionate, guest‑centric sales force. The role involves supporting teams and leaders, retrieving talent strategies, scheduling, training, and compliance to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities Deliver a friendly guest experience by greeting, assisting, and thanking guests. Support teammates and leaders in talent and staffing needs, ensuring the right mix of experience and skills. Lead recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates. Advocate continuous learning for training needs and provide guidance on scheduling systems and pay practices. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and legal requirements. Collaborate with HR leaders to anticipate staffing needs and address specific business demands. Perform general HR processes to maximize engagement and minimize disruption. Assist in safe handling of merchandise, operating technology equipment, and following safety guidelines. All other duties as requested based on business needs. Qualifications and Skills Excellent interpersonal skills with a welcoming attitude toward guests and teammates. Ability to communicate effectively, use handheld scanners and other technology. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to remain composed in a fast‑paced environment. Attention to detail, follow multi‑step processes, and maintain accurate cash register operations. Physical capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44lbs, work in varying temperatures, and remain mobile during a shift. Flexible schedule: willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping periods. Experience with scheduling software, Microsoft Office Suite, and workforce management programs. Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws is an advantage.
