DISTRICT MANAGER

Overview Job Title: District Manager - Cosmoprof The District Manager is responsible for leading the internal and external customer experience to drive sales results and all KPIs. They ensure all company processes and practices are adhered to and serve as the linchpin of the field organization between strategy and execution. Maintains a strong working relationship with all Business Partners and a solid level of business literacy about the region and SBH financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition. Responsibilities 30% Brand: Provides leadership to deliver an exceptional customer experience which maximizes sales/KPIs and drives customer loyalty in assigned stores. Emphasizes both the in-store selling model and a channel-agnostic approach to exceed expectations. Observes the competitive landscape to learn current initiatives/strategies; shares insights with relevant business partners and supervisor. Ensures all brand standards are met (merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, etc.). 30% People: Develops and maintains recruitment, training, motivation and discipline programs to drive results and builds a talent pool of future leaders. Actively networks on LinkedIn and other platforms to fill positions as required. Assesses Store Managers for talent opportunities and impact on store performance. Engages direct reports on strengths and opportunities while leveraging IDP. Ensures Store Managers develop and engage their teams. Builds strong working relationships with all business partners. 20% Safety/Loss Prevention: Ensures the store environment is safe for associates and customers; policies and procedures are followed, including social distancing practices. Protects company assets by ensuring procedures related to shrink, damages, banking, etc., are followed. Analyzes and utilizes all available reporting. Ensures stores are compliant with all HAZMAT training and execution. 20% Operations: Drives the execution of company processes through training, management, analysis and continuous improvement. Manages payroll and other controllable expenses such as supplies and travel. Ensures processes support digital strategies (Omni-channel fulfillment: SFS/SDD/BOPIS). Responsible for Real Estate as it relates to site feedback, relocations, new stores, and store closings. Utilizes technology and company tools to drive results. Works in partnership with Operations Business Partner. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred but not required. 5+ years of experience in business, management and/or merchandising. Specialty retail or trade knowledge, problem solving and driving associate engagement. Multi-unit or Big Box retail management experience preferred. Experience in candidate selection, sourcing and education. Knowledge of inventory management strategies, merchandising techniques and systems, including sales promotion activities for stores. Ability to plan, organize, lead and control. Ability to recognize, analyze, and quantify market trends; understanding and communicating the competitive landscape to drive local segmentation. Understanding of assigned store capabilities and growth potential. Ability to travel extensively, including overnights and weekends for national sales meetings, beauty shows, and sales operations meetings.
