RN - Oncology

Registered Nurse - Infusion Center

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, working 5 days a week with 8-hour shifts. Variability in hours may occur, with potential shifts operating between 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

The Registered Nurse will provide specialized care in an outpatient oncology infusion center, focusing on administering chemotherapy and other infusions to patients with solid tumors, lymphomas, and chronic leukemia. The role involves direct patient care, management of infusion equipment, and participation in a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care.

Administer chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to patients.

Perform bone marrow aspirations and intrathecal chemotherapy.

Utilize advanced infusion equipment, including veins finders and ultrasound-guided IV machines.

Educate patients and families about treatment plans and medication protocols.

Monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage side effects of treatments.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.

Active RN license required.

Minimum of 1 year experience in an infusion center or outpatient oncology preferred.

Previous charge RN experience highly desirable.

Required certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC (Chemo certification).

ACLS and OCN certifications preferred.

Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
