2nd Shift Electronic Test Technician III (Onsite)

Position Overview Job Title: [Not specified], Location: Windsor Locks, CT. Role Type: Onsite. U.S. citizenship required; no security clearance required. Responsibilities Perform complex functional tests and associated operations on electronic, electrical, and electromechanical units. Read and interpret blueprints, sales orders, unit history sheets, schematics, specification sheets, engineering changes, work books, service bulletins, and other written and verbal instructions. Ensure all documentation (specifications, procedures, forms, tools, gauges, fixtures) is quality compliant and traceable. Perform inspections including process review, visual and dimensional checks, and documentation compliance. Maintain records such as check lists, log sheets, unit history records, routing sheets, and schedules. Hook up test rigs to units and associated equipment and operate test equipment, adjusting conditions as needed. Compute or record test data and plot graphs using specified formulas. Order necessary parts using automated parts inventory systems. Change various electronic components, ensuring proper interrelationship between component values is maintained. Troubleshoot units that fail to meet test specifications, determine malfunctions, and localize source of problem. Retest and adjust units so specifications are met; if still defective, refer back to the assembly area for major repairs. Perform special tests under guidance of technical support as required. Notify supervisors of malfunctioning equipment or recurring difficulties. Obtain, move, and expedite units, parts, and materials within the shop to support operations. Review customer service instructions, record on unit history, and generate documentation for routing of hardware. Perform minor and preventive maintenance (clean/replacement of filters, light bulbs, connectors, etc.). Improve processes and solve problems in cooperation with colleagues and supervision. Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean, and organized. Perform related duties as required within the scope of the job. Qualifications 2–3 years of related experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or repair. High School Diploma or equivalent. Well‑rounded knowledge of electronic principles and procedures. Equivalent to 2–3 years of trades training in electronics.
