Truck Driver CDL A Regional

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Pearl River, LA. Weekly pay starts at $1,307 and can increase with additional incentives. Driver Positions Pay Weekly Solo Miles Pay: $0.57 to $1.30 per mile based on trip length with 1,200–1,700 miles per week Solo Stops Pay: $24.00 per stop with 2–4 stops per day Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night with up to one night out per week Safety Bonus: $300 paid quarterly Paid Training Schedule: 6‑day work week with one full day off during the week; drivers work weekends and holidays Dispatch Start Time: 9:00 PM – 3:00 AM Job Details Deliver SOLO to a 500‑mile radius of Pearl River, LA Route: Regional – home every day except one, with one possible layover per week Tractor Type: Day Cab Trailer: 53′ Reefer Equipment: Manual pallet jack Freight: Touch – grocery items; driver assists with unloading at stores and secures each load before departure Benefits Medical, dental, and vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO in first year, starting day one (use it or get paid for it) Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided Drivers are the captain – you make safety decisions; job is protected 401(k) rollover now with company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave (subject to eligibility criteria, including tenure) Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech, and more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide a valid CDL and endorsements for the position Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer Perform other duties as assigned Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
