Job Details Location: Hotel Lulu – Anaheim, CA 92802 Position Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time Salary: $23.00 Hourly Shift: Graveyard POSITION PURPOSE Record, process, and analyze the day’s closing figures. Complete all required reports and ensure that the day’s credit transactions are balanced. Attend to guests’ needs, including registration, checkout, cashiering, and making wake‑up calls. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as the MOD during the night‑time hours. Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival; performs guest registration and check‑out procedures. Accepts payment for guests’ accounts at registration and checkout; maintains a house bank and records accurate daily deposits. Cash checks and exchanges currency for guests. Accurately handles cash transactions and balances a cash drawer to the given amount. Acknowledges rewards members and returning guests. Handles guest bookings, upsells opportunities, and informs them about ways to improve their stay. Processes all cash and credit transactions. Responds to all guest inquiries and requests courteously and professionally. Performs daily audit procedures as set forth by the hotel and company. Completes Daily Reports, Comp Reports (including F&B) as well as Rooms, Pace Reports, and any other reporting assigned. Balances all cash receipts and work performed during the audit shift; makes cash deposits. Prepares the front office for the AM shift and resets daily business. Maintains all nightly reports to inform day‑hotel management of overnight activities/incidents. Acts as PBX operator during the audit shift; transmits and receives messages via telephone, fax, and switchboard. Ensures all wake‑up calls are made timely and with correct guest names. Assists/directs hotel guests and/or emergency personnel in case of an emergency. Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone by hand or machine. Books restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests. Reviews current day’s arrival reports; checks all special‑request reservations to ensure correct room blocking, VIP identification, billing setup, deposits, and department notifications. Attends all scheduled training, departmental, and hotel meetings. Stays informed about special promotions, daily activities, arriving VIPs, group conferences, special requests, and scheduled shuttles. Practices safe work habits and ensures safe work practices to avoid injury. Ensures all privacy and security protocols are followed as well as departmental and company procedures. Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel policies, services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Maintains extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, facilities, and the city’s attractions. Maintains lobby cleanliness and organization. Assists in booking reservations. Assists with handling mail, packages, facsimiles, and guest items. All other duties assigned by manager or supervisor. SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS Assist with any guest inquiry. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures. Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by direct and indirect supervisors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Environment: inside, moderate temperature controlled by hotel systems. Must be able to stand, exert well‑paced mobility for up to four (4) hours, maneuver between simultaneous functions, operate within limited space, and reach other departments promptly. Can lift up to 45 lbs., push and pull carts or equipment up to 250 lbs. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, hearing, vision, and dexterity to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, 10‑key adding machine, multi‑line touch‑tone phone, filing cabinets, fax machines, photocopiers, and dolly. SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the primary language used in the workplace. Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Strong knowledge of complex mathematical calculations and computer programs. Demonstrated leadership capability and customer relations skills. Detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system, and POS. Self‑driven and able to work independently. Exceptional issue resolution and proven analytical skills with a strong attention to detail. EDUCATION High school or equivalent education required. EXPERIENCE Experience in the hospitality industry preferred. Experience in a front desk or customer‑service role preferred. Accounting experience preferred.
