Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team.

In this role, you will work alongside Physical Therapists and a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to provide exceptional care to patients recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, trauma, surgery, and other complex medical conditions. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping patients achieve functional goals and return to the activities that matter most.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments and interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with mobility, gait training, balance activities, strengthening exercises, and functional tasks
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising therapist
• Document patient treatments and progress accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, case managers, and other members of the rehabilitation team
• Educate patients and families regarding therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation goals
• Support a patient-centered approach focused on safety, dignity, and clinical excellence

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)
• Associate Degree
