Benefits Start after 30 days of employment.Job Description Summary: The Production Plant Technician has the responsibility for the operation and control of equipment used in air separation, vacuum swing absorption and carbon dioxide plants.; also accountability for the care and maintenance of plant mechanical, instrumentation and electrical devices and equipment. The position will provide support to various types of processing plants in order to support startups, training and leave coverage for normal production technicians.Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required.Preferred Qualifications: Technical Associates degree preferred; 3+ years of technical training or operations experience; Ability to work extended hours/shift work as business needs dictate; Ability to work nights, weekends and possibly holidays in order to meet shift and on-call requirements; Ability to be locked in at site for abnormal weather conditions; Valid Driver's License; Knowledge/understanding of instrumentation, rotating equipment and piping systems; Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants (EPA regulations, FDA regulations, state/local regulations); Ability to use computers-knowledge of Google office software; Ability to work in a team environment; demonstrated self motivated attitude; Good verbal/written communication skills in order to deal effectively with management and external customers; Qualified in operation of the forklift, man lift and overhead crane is preferred; Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work; Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including, hardhat, safety glasses, safety shoes/boots, 4-GAS monitor, and FRC clothing; Full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.; Able to climb ladders, work off elevated platforms/surfaces; Able to work in non-conditioned environment for extended periods; Able to enter confined spaces for inspection, testing and work; Be comfortable working along on nights and weekends (1-man shift environment).
