Security Officer TWIC Access Specialist – New York, NY Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Thur – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Fri – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sat – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM, Sun – 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, vehicles, and facilities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed. Document visitor activity, deliveries, and security‑related concerns through logs and reports, maintaining accurate records of access‑related events. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location. Minimum Requirements Possess a New York State Security Guard License. Possess a TSA issued TWIC. Be 21+ years of age. Access control and badge experience is preferred. At this site there are limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
