Job Description

Position Title: Junior Staff Accountant

Location : Sterling, VA - fully on-site

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Compensation : $60-70K

Job Description:

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment processing, and collections.
\n
• Perform monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
\n
• Prepare monthly financial schedules, sales reports, and supporting documentation.
\n
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
\n
• Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances and overdue payments.
\n
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with company procedures.
\n
• Review and verify financial transactions to ensure proper recording and accuracy.
\n
• Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial data and reports.
\n
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing, payment, and account-related inquiries.
\n
• Provide support for special projects and other accounting and finance functions as needed.
\n

Qualifications :

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
\n
• 1–2 years of experience in a staff-level accounting or finance role.
\n
• Strong Excel skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities required; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
