Salary Range: $210,000.00 To $250,000.00 Annually

Winnebago Industries is seeking a highly organized, motivated, and energetic attorney to join our team as Assistant General Counsel based in Eden Prairie, MN. This role will manage legal support of commercial matters, innovation and dispute resolution. This position will report to the Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer and will play a critical role in partnering with the Winnebago Legal department as well as internal and external business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset and the desire to learn to take on new challenges.

Day to Day of the Role

• Manage legal support for commercial matters, including contracts, marketing, and the company’s dealer channel.
• Manage legal support of intellectual property, including patents and trademarks
• Manage general litigation, pre-litigation claims, and all related matters, including litigation risk mitigation.
• Perform special projects and support continuous improvement of legal department standard work, knowledge management and process.
• Identify, supervise and partner with outside counsel to ensure that all aspects of the company's legal representation are of the highest quality.
• Offer counsel on a variety of legal issues.
• Serve as an accountable, strategic business partner to business and function leaders, providing actionable advice and guidance to address legal risks.
• Contribute to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the Legal function.
• Support development of policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
• Support the development of the department budget.
• Provide training to the company on legal topics.
• Other duties assigned are based on business need.

Qualifications and Skills

• JD degree from an ABA accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the State of Minnesota.
• Minimum of 8+ years of litigation experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Experience working with product warranty and/or product liability is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills, proven ability to build trust, lead, energize, influence and drive action at all levels within the organization including senior leadership.
• Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts is strongly preferred.

This posting includes a range of the salary across a geographical market. The base pay for this position ranges from $210,000 in our lowest geographic market up to $250,000 in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
