Staff Accountant | Curant Health The Tone: This is a full-time role at Curant Health, located in the Atlanta area. Curant Health builds medication management programs and processes designed to improve patient outcomes while reducing overall healthcare costs. This Staff Accountant role is critical to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and supporting the financial health of the organization. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Location: In-person, Atlanta area Pay: $55000–$65000 yearly Team: Supports the Finance Department; no supervisory responsibilities Mission: This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records to support the organization’s financial health and compliance. Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, accounting software, ERP systems (e.g., Sage, NetSuite) What You’ll Actually Do Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation. Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations. Financial Closings: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings. Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset and prepaid account records, including calculating depreciation and amortization. Reporting & Audit Support: Prepare financial reports, schedules, and supporting documentation for audits. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (e.g., Business with an Accounting concentration) with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience: Up to 2 years of general accounting experience, which may include internships, co-ops, or academic research roles. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, coupled with excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
