- Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review
- Facilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, engagement, carrying out treatment planning in milieu
- Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patient's social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development
- Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques
- Provide individual, group and family counseling
- Provide multi-family group counseling
- Plan and facilitate interactions with residents within the milieu to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Assisting in supervision of activities related to establishing a treatment environment
- Prepare and maintain case records
- Credentials Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor
- CASAC
- 2+ years in a beahvioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
