Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric ICU (PICU) travel assignment in Wichita, KS, requiring at least one year of acute care PICU experience and current BLS and PALS certifications.

Details

• Located within a children's hospital at a Level II Trauma facility
• 15-bed PICU with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Staffed with Intensivists, RNs, and Respiratory Therapists on night shift
• General CR monitoring equipment used
• EMR: Meditech/CPN

Requirements

• Active KS or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital PICU RN experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, and TPT placements
• CRRT experience is preferred
• APHON certification is preferred
• Pediatric teaching hospital experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
