Full-Time Assistant Mechanic

Calusa Country Club, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Assistant Mechanic! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management. Compensation: $25.00 hourly Responsibilities:

• Overhaul and repair maintenance vehicles, mowing equipment and other power equipment.
• Lubricate and service all equipment.
• Inspect equipment for operating deficiencies and make routine adjustments where necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of hydraulic systems, repairs and their components.
• Inspect, change and repair tires.
• Assist in controlling tool access and use by maintenance staff.
• Clean working areas after repair work is completed.
• Assist in fabricating, body repair and painting.
• Adjust cutting units on mowing equipment.
• Assist on the maintenance crew and operate mowing equipment when servicing is complete.
• Assist in training the maintenance staff in the proper care and upkeep of the golf course equipment.
• Operate or train to operate various types of maintenance equipment as needed.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Certificate from college or technical school.
• Must have 2+ years of experience with small engine repairs and maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be a quick learner and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
